He is perfect in his self-control, until Elise seeks his aid in her personal war. An unholy alliance is forged--a bond that will link them by blood and vow--and plunge them into a tempest of danger, desire, and the darkest passions of the heart...
is a turning point in the Midnight Breed series. It offers danger, passion and such unexpected twists, it's opening up the whole new world of opportunities. Beginning as continuation to previous books, by the end of the read the world develops into something promising even more danger and adventure.
It's the story I was waiting for. Simply because I wanted to read about Tegan - my favorite warrior. A simple, yet deep, hidden but also so obvious. He is the strength and honor. His actions if sometimes cruel, were always for the benefit of others. Not the one to sugarcoat anything, he gives as he goes and doesn't apologize. He is a silent hero, who doesn't get, or need praises. His job well done is the only thing that matters to him. Until Elise.
My first impression of her was not a good one. She appeared to be a sheltered prude. A wallflower who might wither under the strong wind, but proved to be made of stronger steel. I warmed up to her. And definitely liked their interactions.
Humorous, furious, passionate, angry, confusing, every word could be applied. Their passionate moments were beyond hot, inner emotional world beautifully shown.
In short, I loved Midnight Awakening
. It is the best in Midnight Breed series yet and one I will definitely reread.
